Italian luxury and FF&E freight from Italy to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman

Italian luxury furniture, lighting, marble, and hotel FF&E shipping from Europe to the GCC needs reliable freight and customs support. S A G Logistic Services LLC manages Italy-to-GCC shipments, including EOR/IOR services, warehousing, and white-glove delivery support for hotels, developers, and luxury brands.

Delicate items like a Carrara marble vanity, a Murano chandelier, and luxury hotel furniture from Brianza need careful handling when they are being shipped. Before shipping these items, hotels must make sure they have all the necessary paperwork ready, including stamped invoices, correct import licenses, and approved quality certificates.

Luxury goods, fine art, and hotel furniture, fixtures, and equipment need more than normal freight and logistics. They require specialised handling from end to end. Based in Dubai, S A G Logistic Services LLC manages shipments from Italy to every GCC importing country: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.

Frequently asked questions

1. What does FF&E mean, and how is it valued for GCC customs?

FF&E means furniture, fixtures and equipment. GCC customs applies the transaction value method on a CIF basis, so design fees, moulds or royalties paid to the manufacturer as a condition of sale are normally added to the declared value.

2. Which HS codes apply to Italian furniture, lighting and stone?

Seating falls under heading 9401, other furniture under 9403, luminaires and chandeliers under 9405, worked marble under 6802 and porcelain tiles under 6907. Each item is classified to national tariff lines before quotation.

3. Do Italian chandeliers need SABER certification for Saudi Arabia?

Yes. Electrical lighting needs a Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC) and a per-consignment Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC), both issued on SABER before the FASAH declaration.

4. Why use an Exporter of Record (EOR) when buying EXW from Italy?

A GCC buyer usually cannot file an Italian export declaration in its own name. An EOR files the declaration and returns the MRN with electronic exit confirmation, the evidence Italian suppliers rely on for VAT-free export treatment.

5. Can UAE customs clear goods if the Trade Licence lacks import activity?

To process a Mirsal declaration, you need a licence with the correct import activity. If the required activity is missing, S A G Logistic Services LLC clears the goods as Importer of Record (IOR). This means we take legal responsibility, so you don’t have to update your business license.

6. What is a Commercial Registration (CR), and is it needed to import FF&E into Saudi Arabia?

The CR is the official business registration issued by the Ministry of Commerce. FF&E importers also hold ZATCA customs registration and a VAT number, and the CR’s activities must cover the goods declared.

7. Is duty paid twice when Saudi-bound cargo routes through Dubai?

Cargo moving under a customs transit declaration in sealed trucks normally settles duty once, at the final GCC destination.

8. Can a hotel or residential developer defer duty on phased FF&E deliveries?

Goods held in a Jebel Ali (JAFZA) warehouse stay duty-free, with duty and VAT settled on each mainland release.
